So different than old zero sound GTX 1060 (fan-stop) it gets a little better @ 50% but on the whole a noisy beast. Dec 4, 2020 · The foundation edition and all other editions of 3060 have fan stop so unless they're pushed too high or if remain within the idle temperature, they don't make any noise since the fan stops. The FREEZE fan stop feature is automated and is enabled out of the box. No issues until today. It's possible that the vibration from the fan was making something else rattle though. And found out it’s a faulty fan. Noise is measured with a HTC One M8 using the app Sensor Box for Android, placed approximately 5 inches from GPU fan.
